Shinrin-yoku can be loosely translated to making contact with and taking in the atmosphere of the forest. We found ourselves immersed in trees this summer as we slept under a canopy of trees during our trips to British Columbia. There is something peaceful and protective about being surrounded by trees. When we took the time to look up, we noticed shapes and figures that came to life within the tangle of branches and leaves above.
