We arrived at Emerald Lake later on in the evening as the light was beginning to fade. We didn’t get much time to explore the area before darkness set in. So we decided to wake up early to get the most out of our day. It was a frigid winter morning, so we bundled up to head to the lake to get a glimpse of the first light. The scene did not disappoint as the soft hues of the morning light began to illuminate the scene in front of our eyes.
