Located in the Elbow Valley in Kananaskis, this peak has a very distinctive limestone band. On a clear day, we can see this peak from our studio, well at least Kupu can. It is one of her favourite mountains and always points it out when it is visible. It wasn’t until I saw this photo, that Kupus dad took while on a motorbike ride, did I realize why this mountain was named, Banded Peak. Now it all makes sense!
